“The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde” by Robert Lois Stevenson. It talks about how a scientist called Henry Jekyll divides the human soul into its good and bad side. By doing this, something unexpected happens with the potion and he kills himself and his “bad side” (which is called, Mr. Hyde). There are three themes that we took into account. 1. The duality of human nature. 2. The importance of reputation. & 3. The guilty vs the innocent.

1. The duality of human nature tries to show what the division of the human soul can symbolize. It symbolizes that we are made of supposedly  “evil side” and a “good side”. In the story , Hyde starts to dominate Jekyll till he kills Jekyll. At the beginning, Utterson can not believe that Jekyll and Hyde are the same person. Hyde's appearance makes him look like a primitive animal and also by showing how he reacts depending on the situation. "Between these two I now felt I had to choose. My two natures had memory in common, but all other faculties were most unequally shared between them. Jekyll (Who was a composite)" [...] "But Hyde was indifferent to Jekyll".

2. The Importance of reputation mainly talks about how Jekyll and Hyde try not to make the potion public and also, Hyde public. Jekyll only tell it to their two trully trusted friends, Utterson and Enfield. Utterson suspects Jekyll of hiding Hyde from the police from the murder because of his reputation and also of his friendship with Utterson. "But mostly to preserv the order" nd don't make everyone enter in panic. "My good Utterson" [...] " I believe you fully; I would trust you before any man alive".

3. The Guilty vs the Innocent explains the characters in a way that Hyde and Jekyll are the guilty ones. Jekyll can be guilty for making the posion but innocent for do not knowing that Hyde would kill him. Hyde is guilty for the murder of the little girl. Utterson, Poole and Enfield are innocents about being trully and trusty friends with Jekyll but they are guilty about not telling the truth. The most important things in the Victorian era is the reputation and being well-known in that time. "I thus drew steadily nearer to that truth by whose partial discovery I have been doomed to such a dreadful shipwreck".

Finally, the themes can show lots of details of the characters that are not written in the book. For example, they can explain why Utterson and Enfield never talked about Hyde or the potion. They show the division of the soul and which characters are guilty and which ones are innocent. These are some of the themes I think that are the most important ones. In my opinion the most important one, and complete is the one of the duality of human nature.

'For and Against Essay' MUSIC

They are millions of songs all over the world. The songs are one of the most discussed topics all over the world, but the question mostly discussed is, do you like music? Even though if you like it or not, it has it arguments for and arguments against.

Although, most of the people likes music because it can help you to do your homework or when you’re travelling by bus or even for sleeping. To begin with, you can hear free music on radios or download it on your phone or make your own music by playing an instrument alone or with friends. Furthermore, there are a lot of types of music so you can choose the one you like and listen to that type and download it for travelling.

However listening lot of music could bring you, hearing problems. As a result it can bring you problems in the future. In addition when you listen to loud music you can’t pay attention to the rest of the people who are around you and some kinds of music can make people change your behavior, because of the lyric of the song and the video clip also could affect their behavior.

Considering the arguments for and the ones against, the music is one of the best “friends” when you are passing throe a bad moment, mostly because the lyrics but sometimes you need your own time to relax and to concentrate so you will not need it.

The Ones That Got Away.

They were happy together, the six of them, even though three of them never talked to each other, they still held their relation. One day when James, Richard and Jeremy returned home to find their friends, they weren't there anymore. But... How could such irrational friends leave that place? Richard couldn't believe it, it's difficult to find such gorgeous friends in a luxurious place, they could be anywhere with anyone in any country. The three of them decided to go to their best driver on the BBC Channel, the Stig, an unknown and friendly guy. Maybe he looks a little bit serious, be he has the greatest sense of humor they had ever seen. They couldn't understand the situation...
Jeremy: "My best friend is gone, I mean, our best friends"
James: "Right, let's go for them"
Richard: "But... WHERE?!"
James: "Palestina? Irak? Korea?!
Jeremy: "Guys, calmn down, let's go to Las Vegas"
Eighteen hours later, they were in Las Vegas. They could only found Richard's friend, so there were two left.
Later on, they went to California and the found Jeremy's friend on a garage. Richard and Jeremy were happy but James wasn't. Jeremy went to help James while Richard and Stig were racing. Jeremy and James went to Chicago, but nothing, later, they went to Los Angeles and still no sight of his best friend. They decided to went to Dallas, Texas, and there he was, he was with an anonymous guy. James and Jeremy went talking to that guy to get to an agreement, if they pay him 20 million dollars, he would return them their friend. And they did, so, they returned home the three of them.
When they returned, they found, Richard's best friend (a Zonda R), Stig and Richard. They had the great idea of going to the cinema to watch 47 Ronin but when the movie finished, they were angry so they went to Planet Taco and they also played Bowling. The next morning, they went to the beach and to the rollercoaster,As they were boring, they decided to compare their best friends, because they were cars, so they compared who's best friend or who's car was better. They didn't agree so Stig decided to invite them all to McDonald's for an ice-cream. Finally, Stig went home and the six of them went to live to Calfornia, enjoy races, eating together, watching races or films together, working for the BBC Channel together, everything together.
Richard's car (or his best friend) was a Zonda R, Jeremy's car (or his best friend) was a Porsche GT3 and James car (or his best friend) was a Bentley Continental V8. Stig's car was a Ferrari FF, his favorite car. The six of them were one to each other but Stig never considered the idea of having cars as best friends just because they were not humans and also because he didn't know how to call a car.They also had a channel called Top Gear.
As they got older and lost their passion for cars,

they decided to sell their best friends, something difficult but possible. And they did it, they sold them for a very high price to rich and famous people. And that was the last time they ever saw them.

BANK IN TROUBLES

On Monday a thief stole a bank and the L.A police department of Saint Monica caught him. The policeman who caught him was Alex Bringsväsk.

Workers were doing their routines when Mike Buckstain (The thief) entered with a revolver and threatened everybody. One worker was able to call the police and, luckily, they came. While the police was threatening the thief, there was another policeman going throw the back door.

Mike took one of the men in the bank as a hostage in order to threaten the police. They asked him to give up, but he did not. Suddenly, Alex appeared and saved the hostage. Mike was cuffed and sent to Saint’s Monica prison.

Alex said that it was very difficult because he was alone and the thief had another gun and he could have shot him. He also stated that many things may have happened, but that thank God, they were able to survive.

                                                         Frozen: The Ice Kingdom

The movie started in Scandinavia in a Kingdom called The Valley of The Living Rock with a royal family and two sisters, Elsa and Anna. When their parents die, Elsa was the heir to the throne because she was the oldest one.

When they were little, once, Elsa hurt Anna with an ice beam. After some time, when Elsa was the queen, together with Anna they decided to make a party and invite everyone in the Valley. There, they met the Duke of Weselton and his friend, Hans, Anna´s future lover. After that, Hans and Anna decided to get married.

Elsa left the Valley to ‘find herself’ and everything in the Valley got colder. Anna decided to go and get her, leaving Hans with the power of the Valley.

When Anna was going to find Elsa, she found a guy (Sven) and his friend a reindeer (Kristöff). Anna, Sven and Kristöff faced the cold storms, snow and the bad guards to save Elsa.

 Finally, Anna returned with Elsa, Sven and Kristöff to the Valley. Hans was sent to prision because he had tried to kill Anna and become the king of the place while Elsa was out.

Hicimos una intervención en una parte del colegio con figuras geométricas  que sacamos de una mezcla de poemas que teníamos que traer en grupos. Después en Lengua y en Tics tuvimos que intervenir una foto nuestra con el programa Pixlr y agregarle partes de la intervención.

                                             Frozen: The Ice Kingdom   

                

Frozen, The Ice Kingdom is a movie by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee. It´s an adventure movie. The movie seems to be set in the Valley of The Living Rock in Norway in 2013.

One of the main problems is when Elsa (One of the daughters of the Queen and the King) Leaves the Kingdom being the Queen and everything gets colder and the Valley loses control. Anna, Elsa´s sister, try to get Elsa back to the Valley. 

The film has a mix of romanticism, hate, thriller, sadness and more feelings, But in most of the movie there is happiness and emotional moments.

The movie is a great movie, I like it because it is set in winter and in Norway, which are some of the things I love and the story of the characters is great.

Video-poesía!

Realizamos una excursión al MACBA (Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Buenos Aires) luego de esa salida, entramos a la página y buscamos alguna obra que nos gustara. Cuando encontramos esa obra, buscamos tres obras más de ese autor. Elegimos, junto con Agustín Sanchez, a Claisse Geneviève, una artista francesa que nació en 1935 en Quiévy y actualmente tiene 79 años.

Luego de buscar la autora y otras tres obras suyas, realizamos un Moviemaker recitando un poema creado a partir de sus obras y mostramos esas obras en nuestro video.

Diary Entry!

Dear Diary,                                                                                         24 of November of 1889
             
                The potion is not going so well, I need to change it now. Yesterday, I went to sleep as Jekyll and I woke up as Hyde! This potion will ruin my life and everyone who is near me... poole! Maybe I should change it by adding something, but I gotta hurry up before it's too late and I transform into this monster that escapes from heaven in search of trouble, darkness and horror. Nothing like me, that's hy it's my other half, because I can help someone, be good and gentleman, but he just tries to hit, kill or destroy eveything that it's in his way, even a little girl. He has no soul for that, he doesn't care. his happiness is my sadness but his only terror is the truth and the nice things. I should go and buy all the necessary things to save me from this, to discover something dangerous and destroy him or atleast get it as far as I can till it is over and everything is again under control. Shall I tell someone to save me? I don't know what to do!

Diary Entry!

Dear diary,                                                                                        17 of November of 1889

                After trying this potion and changing it, I think this will be the last try because I don't feel so bad after trying itand I hope I won't. Also, one of the best things is that I had discovered something new, something big, it can be a change in science, a big one! I hope that Lanyon doesn't make my potion and steal it because I will be lost and everyone will trust him and will like him more than me. I need people's respect, opinions, support, everything. Now that I think about it, I have to control this and check the recipe. If I change physically because of that, there will be a big problem for me and for poole, he will get scared! And what about Hyde? What if he controls me? If he gets me into troubles? If he makes me kill people? Or suicide? Maybe I should keep this between poole and me. After some day I have to check my changes and If there are no changes, sell some potions! I will be rich, more famous and better than Lanyon! Well, I have to go!

My Monologue!

In drama, I created my own character. It's called Ashley. I wrote a monologue to give her voice. This is my monologue. 

My monologue: Why does she hits me? She hates me? Did I made anything wrong when I was born?
Well... my story begans since I was a little girl that I never met my father and It feels horrible to do not have a father, my mother is an alcoholic and everytime she came home, she hit me and one day she made my hand starting to bleed and she wounded my hand seriously, now there's a cut and it's deeper and deeper and with the passing of the time, all my flesh started to disappear and I get into bones and when I get school, everyone hate me and started saying that I was a bag of bones andthat make me feel horrible because I couldn't do anything with people watching at me and when my brother Mike arrived home she (my mother) said he was perfect and I was a disaster and that he was "The perfect son".
But now I'm terrified and worried and I don't like feeling like a bag of bones and life is just unfair, no one understands me!

T.P de Historia

En el area de historia, estuvimos trabajando en un trabajo practico sobre la edad media.Tuvimos que buscar un señorío de la época medieval y luego dibujar uno simulando a este después teníamos que buscar la ubicación de donde realmente hubo un señorio. Luego tuvimos que crear un escudo con los colores y símbolos de esa época.

Partes del castillo:

El castillo tiene una entrada principal por un puente y una salida con un gran portón, tiene una gran iglesia, una aldea y una muralla en las cuales transcurría su vida diaria de las personas en aquella época.

Escudo

Este escudo representa a la realeza, la lealtad y el poder. Uno de esos símbolos es el león, el león es símbolo de soberanía, que en aquella época significaría que el señorío tiene el control del territorio brindado por dios. Luego escogimos los colores, los colores elegidos equivalen a las actitudes mas importantes en aquella época: la verdad y la lealtad ya que era muy importante que las personas respeten el pacto feudo vasallatico que era una promesa que se hacía entre el vasallo y el señor, el señor les brindaba protección y a cambio los campesinos le daban su territorio. Otro representa a la fortaleza ya que había que soportar las invasiones mediante el castillo y la fuerza de los caballeros elegidos por el clero y la fidelidad, que significaría serle fiel al señor. 

New York!

New York is the most popular city in the USA. It has 116 years old, it is a big city with a lot of people and amazing buildings.
If you want to get to New York you have to get by plane.

What I like of  New York is that it has a lot of amazing technological things like Iphones or things from Apple. You can also enjoy how clean it is, with every single paper.

But the bad thing is the Chinese village because it's very dirty and ugly, but there is a good point that it's that it is very big.

You can see a lot of big places in which you can take pictures and for example you can go to the Central Park to relax and have a nice afternoon there.

Finally, New York is one of the best places of the world and it's very recommended for tourism! The place can have bad and ugly palaces but if you ignore them and search for the nice and opened places you can enjoy New York a 100% or even any single place in the USA, or not. You can also enjoy the food and meet new people and have fun with them but don't forget about the places and the money!

 - La poesía visual suele ser una forma de ver la poesía pero desde un punto mas artístico ya que con imágenes visuales podes ver la poesía. Suele estar hecho con imágenes porque es visual, y hace que tenga mas sentido el título.

 - Porque el autor de la obra decidió modificar la forma en la que esta escrita la obra para que pase de ser una poesía a una poesía visual y de un modo lo transformo en un caligrama el cual es una poesía pero visual.  - Expresa que no siempre tiene la razón mostrándolo con un pedazo roto en la letra R de "Right". Porque hizo demostrar dos contrarios en una misma oración.

Mentir para decir la verdad

1. La palabra es lo que nos constituye y nos hace humanos. La importancia de la palabra es que vivimos con ella, nos constituye y tiene que ver con los que somos.

2.La palabra poética es solo un silencio además de las palabras. Sirve para decir lo que no dice. No es lo mismo que un biólogo te exprese que es una sandía a que te lo exprese Pablo Neruda.

3.El silencio expresa muchas cosas o palabras, al igual que las mismas palabras. Y el de la mentira es que La ficción tiene la capacidad de usar la mentira para decir la verdad. La mentira literaria es la mentira buena, no es para favorecerse a uno mismo ni para perjudicar a otros.

4.El título de la charla habla sobre las palabras que están relacionadas con todo, tanto con la mentira, el silencio y muchas expresiones poéticas.

Canción para Lengua

En el trabajo que tuve que hacer para Lengua, junto con Agustín S, tuvimos que elegir una canción en español y hacer un caligrama con la letra.Nosotros elegimos la canción Suerte de Paty Cantú.

Lo interesante de esta canción, para mi, es el estilo de música que es y que expresa cosas que suelen pasar en relaciones.
El yo lírico expresa frustración ya que siempre elegía parejas que la engañaban todo el tiempo, pero al final cambia y consigue a un novio mejor entonces ahí ella se siente relajada al haber encontrado al hombre que quería.
El tema central en esta canción es su historia con sus amores pasados.
Los dos procedimientos descriptivos que aparecen son: Antítesis y Imágenes Sensoriales.
